Richard has been with the firm since 1981 and possesses a broad range of experience in the areas of auditing, tax, and financial planning. He is highly regarded by clients for his expertise in the implementation of detailed financial planning projects. Richard services a variety of clients in the real estate, insurance, manufacturing, financial, and wholesale industries.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Richard holds a BS degree in accounting. He has earned the designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Richard is also a member of the firm's registered investment advisory affiliate, The Patuxent Financial Group, LLC.

Richard is an active community member serving on the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, in addition to volunteering as a coach for local youth sports programs.
